Install Miui v6 custom rom on micromax canvas nitro a311 and a310

Micromax canvas nitro is a budget device with mediatek processor which means no kernel sources for android development.There are less custom roms for micromax canvas nitro a311 and a310 but the available one are stable and you can use them as a daily driver.We have one of the best custom rom available for a311 and a310 which is other than miui v6.
This rom is compiled by a xda senior member "pintothakur007" for both canvas nitro a311 and a310 devices, a big thanks to him for bringing this amazing rom for this device.
Prerequisites:

Root:You canvas nitro a311 or a310 must be rooted.
Backup:Backup all your data which includes apps,contacts,photos videos etc everything to computer or any cloud storage as flashing this Miui v6 in canvas nitro a311 or a310 will erase data.
Battery: Charge your canvas nitro to at least 90% so that you wont encounter any battery related issues while flashing this.

Backup Efs partitions: Backup all your efs partition of your canvas nitro on current Rom.If you loose signal you can just restore it back.
Lock Gps:Lock your gps position on your current rom.If you use this a lot then you have to lock it so that it could work even after flashing other roms.Its easy to lock gps .Turn on gps in settings and find your current location in google maps and now now have locked on to gps.
Custom recovery: You need a custom recovery(Twrp) installed on your canvas nitro a311 or a310 .Without it you can not flash roms at all.
Downloads: Miui v6 for a311 or a310 (google drive download) if needed.Transfer them to internal storage.

Miui is one of the best and awesome custom rom out there.This is stock rom for all xiaomi devices but they open sourced it and is widely available for lot of other branded devices.After log time xiaomi has announced miui v6 with lot of changes in user interface ut it still used android kitkat as a base.It might take some time for xiaomi to update miui to latest version of android but till then we have to use this kitkat based rom.
COming to miui v6 for canvas nitro it is stable for daily usage and has decent battery life too.All sensors are working fine incluidng calls,camera,video player etc.Theme are cracked in this specific rom for a311 or a310 which means you can download themes on the go.It resembles to apple ios in many ways and will experience that you are using an ios device while playing with it.
Features of miui v6 rom:

Miui Launcher: This launcher is completely different from other aosp launchers which you are familiar with.Feature no app drawer and apps resides on home screen it self.
Theme engine: miui is one of the first rom to offer a theme engine.There are lacks of themes in mi store and some are paid versions too.With this theme engine you can change wallpapers ,boot animations,ring tones, navigation panel theme,status bar theme,lock screen theme,icons and what ever.You can even overlap individual theme elements too.
Status bar: It features transparent status bar as usual.There is a network monitor too for ongoing Internet traffic.You can see your upload and download speed in status bar.Swiping down from status bar will bring you notification panel and swiping left on it will take you to quick toggles.
Notifications: Notifications appear in form of "heads up" which you must be familiar with.
Features a do not disturb mode too.
Unlock your phone when a trusted blue tooth device is nearby which might remind you of "MI band".
Traffic indicator: Network traffic indication is also available for ongoing traffic.Both download and upload speeds are displayed at same time on status bar.
Guest mode: Guest mode is enabled by default and is locked in privacy protection.
Permission manager: You can control permissions for individual app.
Utility tool: This helps to clear cache,virus scan,permission etc.

Flash Miui v6 rom using Twrp recovery:

Download Miui v6 Rom for canvas nitro transfer it to sdcard or internal storage of device.
Power of the device completely.
Using button combination reboot to recovery.
Once you are in twrp click on backup and select system,data and cache partitions and swipe to confirm backup.
Once backup is completed click on back and select advance wipe option.
Mark system,data,cache and dalvik cache and swipe to confirm action.
Once all required partitions are wiped click on back and now select install and navigate to location where you have placed miui v6 for a311 and a310.Select rom and swipe to confirm flash It might about 5 minutes or so for rom to flash.
Reboot to system.Wait at least 15 minutes for initial boot to complete and once done you can explore its features.
If rom fails to boot or it has soft bricked then press and hold power button for 15 seconds and it force shutdown.Reboot it to recovery and this wipe system again and flash rom again.

Install Twrp recovery on micromax canvas nitro a311 and a310

Flashing a custom rom on your micromax canvas nitro a311 requires a recovery installed.Since micromax does not release kernel sources its hard to compile a recovery for this device and hence we will not have any official support.But we have twrp compiled for canvas nitro a311 by a xda senior member "yogesh.kalyana" big thanks to him for bringing this amazing recovery for our device.

This twrp recovery is compiled and tested working on A311 but developer quotes that it works on A310 too.As we all know flashing is a risky process we take no responsibility if you brick your device.

Install twrp recovery on Micromax canvas nitro a311 and a310:

About Twrp recovery:
Twrp stands for team win recovery project.It is one first recovery to offer a completely touch driven interface.The ui is completely xml based so you can customise the interface with different themes and also this is only recovery that supports themes.Unlike the clockworkmod recovery this recovery has the option to wipe all the data,cache,dalvik,system,internal with just only one swipe.Of course you have to choose what to be wiped on the device.

There are two reasons why this recovery has to be chosen over other clockworkmod.First reason being the ability to restore the individual portions of the complete nandroid backup and other being the multi rom support.Only twrp has the multi rom support for now.
Prerequisites:

You canvas nitro a311 or a310 must be rooted.
charge you mobile to atleast 50% before flashing this recovery.
Enable usb debugging on your device.Go to settings and then to about device.You will find build number there.Tap on it continuously until you see a toast message you are now a developer.Go back and you will find your developer options click on it and mark on enable usb debugging.
download twrp for nitro a311 (dev-host mirror ) and transfer it to internal storage.

Install twrp on a311 using mobile uncle tools:

Open playstore and search for a app called mobile uncle mkt tools and install it.
Open any file manager app and head over to location where you have download zip file and rename it to recovery.
Now open mobile uncle tools and grant super user permissions when requested.
You will an option "update recovery". Click on it and select the recovery file which you have downloaded and renamed it.
Once flashing process is completed you will be requested to boot into recovery.
Click on yes and once it reboots you will have twrp installed.
