Motorola Moto X Style Review: Pros and Cons
Review of Motorola Moto X Style at a Glance:-
From year 2013 Motorola releasing Moto X series, now it is third generation of the Moto X which they named as Moto X Style or Pure Edition, The specs of Moto X Style looks quite impressive on the papers such as Lollipop upgradable to v6.0 (Marshmallow), Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core 1.8 GHz processor, 5.7 inches qHD display, 21 & 5 MP camera, Dual SIM 4G support, 16/32 GB ROM with 128 GB Ext. SD card support, 3 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery.
The Moto X has its glorious design with smooth curves in corners with metal frame and soft-touch rubber in the back. The back is raised in the centre and the width is decreasing from the centre to the left and right edges which make it fit and comfortable in palm. There are stereo speakers located in the top and bottom of the front side. Micro-USB port is placed at the bottom while the 3.5mm headphone socket and SIM/microSD card tray sits on the top. The Moto X Style supports front-facing stereo speakers as well as an LED flash for the front 5-megapixel camera. Phone has water repellent Nano-coating (IP52 certified) which is resistant to water splash but Not designed to be submersed in water.
The 5.7 inches TFT display is quite bright and vibrant while we are still missing the clarity of the Super AMOLED display; it has 1440 x 2560 pixels of the resolutions and 510ppi of the display density. It doesn’t have any LED notification but Moto Display gives you all the information. Auto brightness setting doing well to fix the brightness of the screen as according to outer lightning condition and yes there is Gorilla Glass 3 for protecting its screen from the scratches.
The hexa-core Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 having clock speed of 1.8 GHz making its performance saunter free. Multitasking is ease in this handset, all the trending games are running pretty well, but causes the problem of heating & when we compare its AnTuTu score of 47,990 was not able to beat Google Nexus 6 which cost lower than this. Verdict about its CPU is that you will not feel any issue in day to day use & we hope the heating issue will be fixed soon by any OTA updates.
According to written specs 22 MP camera seems a great deal but this is quite average camera lacking OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) although the pictures are decent but when comparing with other flagship it does not giving positive impression about the picture quality. 5 MP camera is just above average with LED flash helps in capturing photos in low light.
3000 mAh battery in a mobile having qHD screen with 5.7 inches size & 510 ppi display density is not performing well as we expected. it is one of the biggest drawbacks of this handset struggling to give a full day battery backup in mix uses.
