Install kitkat based Miui V6 custom rom on samsung galaxy note 3 sm-n9005

Finally miui  V6 rom is ported by developers  and is is available for download for samsung galaxy note 3 SM-N9005.Samsung galalxy note 3 SM-N9005 is a snapdragon variant which comes with a snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.30ghz with 3gb of ram.Three storage options are avaialble.with rest of specs same as its exynos variant except in connectivity.
SNapdragon variant comes with lte connectivity on board while exynos processor lacks it and supports only 3g.
There are lot of custom roms for galalxy note 3 but this ROM miui is one of its kind.Before proceeding further chech your device model number first.Go to settings and then to about device.You will find your device model number.Confirm it as Sm-n9005.Flashing this ROM on other variants may result in nuclear blast or cats might run away and we are not responsible for that.
prerequisites:
  • Backup:Backup all your data which includes apps,contacts,photos videos etc everything to computer or any cloud storage as flashing this miui rom on note 3 sm-n9005 will erase data.
  • Battery: Charge your note 3 to at least 90% so that you wont encounter any battery related issues while flashing this ROM.
  • Backup Efs partitions: Backup all your efs partition of your note 3 on current rom.If you loose signal you can just restore it back.
  • Lock Gps:Lock your gps position on your current rom.If you use this a lot then you have to lock it so that it could work even after flashing other roms.Its easy to lock gps .Turn on gps in settings and find your current location in google maps and now now have locked on to gps.
  • CUstom recovery: You need a custom recovery installed on your note 3 .Without it you can flash roms at all.
  • Downloads: Download Miui v6 for note 3 Sm-n9005 custom rom and google apps if needed.Transfer them to internal storage.

Miui is one of the best and awesome custom rom out there.This is stock rom for all xiaomi devices but they open sourced it  and is widely available for lot of other branded devices.After log time xiaomi has announced miui v6 with lot of changes in user interface ut it still used android kitkat as a base.It might take some time for xiaomi to update miui to latest version of android but till then we have to use this kitkat based rom.This rom is stable for daily usage and has decent battery life too.It resembles to apple ios in many ways and will experience that you are using an ios device while playing with it.
Features of miui v6 rom:
  1. Miui Launcher: This launcher is completely different from other aosp launchers which you are familiar with.Feature no app drawer and apps resides on home screen it self.
  2. Theme engine: miui is one of the first rom to offer a theme engine.There are lacks of themes in mi store and some are paid versions too.With this theme engine you can change wallpapers ,boot animations,ring tones, navigation panel theme,status bar theme,lock screen theme,icons and what ever.You can even overlap individual theme elements too.
  3. Status bar: It features transparent status bar as usual.There is a network monitor too for ongoing Internet traffic.You can see your upload and download speed in status bar.Swiping down from status bar will bring you notification panel and swiping left on it will take you to quick toggles.
  4. Notifications: Notifications appear in form of "heads up" which you must be familiar with.
  5. Features a do not disturb mode too.

  6. Unlock your phone when a trusted blue tooth device is nearby which might remind you of "MI band".
  7. Guest mode: Guest mode is enabled by default and is locked in privacy protection.
  8. Permission manager: You can control permissions for individual app.

Flash Miui v6 using Twrp recovery: 

  1. Download Miui V6 port for note 3 sm-n9005 and Gapps transfer it to sdcard or internal storage of device.
  2. Power of the device completely.
  3. Press volume up,power button and home key simultaneously and once you see boot loader screen release buttons.
  4. Using volume down as a navigation button move to recovery and click on power button to confirm action.
  5. Once you are in twrp backup existing rom first.It might about 5 minutes for backup to complete.
  6. Wipe data,cache and dalvik cache.You may not need to wipe system.
  7. Flash ROM and then gapps.
  8. Reboot to system.Wait at least 15 minutes for initial boot to complete and once done you can explore ROM features.
  9. If rom fails to boot Remove battery and put it back.Reboot it to recovery and this wipe system too and flash rom again.

If are facing any loss of signal issues restore efs backup.Even after restoring  if you are still facing issue flash rom using other recovery.For any other information or assistance comment below and we reach you as soon as possible.
If you don't have root access then open security app and then head over to permissions.You will an option to enable root for apps.
If this rom fails to boot after flashing then wipe system partition along with data,cache,dalvik cache too.
